A Manifestation of Inflammation

Last month I was on the radio show Forever Young
with Jim Evans discussing the new blood measurements for
heart and artery health when we received a call from a woman
from Santee (California) regarding our Immune Support. She

I
was astounded to say the least. I had formulated our Immune
Support to deal with colds, flu, and bacterial infections.
The concept of it working to reduce the incidence of asthma
did not even occur to me, but after researching asthma,
it has become crystal clear that allergies and asthma
are related to an overactive immune system. In fact, both
of these issues are inflammatory responses to the invasion
of foreign substances like viruses, bacteria, parasites
and fungi as well as other organic food compounds, pollen
and dust. After an in-depth look at allergies, asthma,
and allergic response mechanism in the body, I think I
now have a rudimentary understanding of the processes
involved. In fact, it seems like an allergic response
is our immune system at work when dealing with certain
types of invading pathogens. An interesting aspect of
all this is that an allergic response by the body could
be equal to in damage or more deadly than the normal nonviolent
response by the immune system.
The Allergic Response
My research has led me to the following description of
what happens.
1. Antigens - are anything foreign which
may invade the body including:
- Some
carbohydrates as food
- Bacteria
- Fungi
and mold
- Parasites
- Viruses
- Pollen
- Dust
- Dander
Your
body will either kill them, be overcome by them, or overreact
to them.
2.
Allergens - Describe any of the above organisms
which will cause an overreaction by the immune system.
3.
Antibodies - Particularly the IgE antibody will
bond to allergens in an attempt to subdue them. When we
are overrun by allergens, a secondary defense mechanism
is activated.
4.
Basophiles and Mast Cells - Types of white blood
cells that are stimulated to release histamine when the
allergen bound to the antibody IgE binds to them. When
histamines are released, we experience an allergic reaction.
This reaction can be quite sudden but can also be slow
in developing. Acute rapid responses are exhibited by
the body in the form of sneezing, runny nose, stuffy sinuses,
or more serious constriction of essential air passageways
into the lungs, such as asthma. Having personally
experienced asthma, I can assure you it can be quite dangerous
and terrifying to say the least. The less critical allergic
responses are no fun either.
Treatment
A method of treatment for allergic response, prior to
Eidon’s Immune Support, has been to take antihistamines
to reduce the inflammatory response caused by the release
of histamines by mast cells. We either take antihistamines
as a response to an allergic reaction (to suppress the
immune system response) or our doctor prescribes drugs
such as “Prednisone,” whose role in the body
is to suppress the immune system. This to me is totally
the opposite of natural logic. Rather than restricting
the body’s natural defenses, we should be trying
to make sure these defenses are working according to the
manner in which nature provided.
