Today, probably more than any time in the history of man, we are exposed to an incredible plethora of toxic elements. Heavy metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium and aluminum are in our food, water, atmosphere, vaccines and especially our dental fillings. Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, antibiotics, and hormones are in most of the food we eat, unless we eat organic unprocessed foods. Processed foods are full of preservatives and other chemicals. Finally, many of the containers we routinely use are full of chemicals that can leach into the foodstuffs they are designed to hold. All in all, regardless of how things appear, we live in a toxic environment.
Below I have outlined a 5-step heavy metal cleansing process.
Each step will be explained in detail:
1. Remove sources of toxicity
2. Mobilize heavy metals
3. Chelate (bind up) heavy metals in the blood
4. Re-mineralize the blood
5. Support the liver and kidneys
Making lifestyle changes is the first step that can reduce one’s exposure to toxic compounds dramatically, though these changes do little to rid the body of already accumulated toxic elements. In this case, I am referring primarily to the heavy metals: mercury, lead, aluminum, and cadmium. In my opinion, mercury toxicity is a major culprit in many of today’s unanswered health issues.
Let me create a scenario that I believe many of us fall into today. Throughout your life, you dutifully received all your vaccinations, and followed your dentist’s recommendations when you had a cavity filled with mercury amalgam “silver” fillings. It could have been soon thereafter, or in some cases many years later, that you began to experience unusual symptoms. These could include a slow thyroid, fatigue, sensitivity to cold, hair loss, dry skin, tenderness and/or numbness of extremities, rashes, diminished vision, weak connective tissue, tissue swelling, short-term memory loss, irritability, mood disturbances, or insomnia. Due to the uniqueness of each person, one may not react at all, or may experience one or more of these symptoms to different extremes.
You had a battery of tests and they all came back normal. You were told there was nothing wrong with you and it was all in your mind. They were right about that in an abstract way because mercury does in fact affect the mind, as well as major glands in the body. In actuality, it is a deadly neurotoxin that can affect the entire nervous system and the brain.
In this case, you have accumulated toxic levels of the heavy metal mercury. Mercury is the second deadliest element on the planet after plutonium. Most of us today are walking around with mercury in our
mouth, slowly vaporizing via the process of electrolysis, and leaching into our cells.
Additionally, our children are given vaccinations right out of the womb, far before their immune systems and organs have had a chance to fully develop to manage such a mainlined mercury load. Most vaccines are preserved with a mercury-based compound called thimerosal. In many cases, it is similar or worse than having a mouthful of mercury fillings. Some large ocean fish contain mercury as well.

When the body senses the presence of heavy metals, it naturally utilizes iodine and selenium to bind and remove them. Most people do not have an adequate intake of iodine or selenium to deal with the heavy metals, so the body pulls the metals out of the blood and stores them in available cells where they begin to impede normal cellular functioning.
The question now is how do you get the mercury and other heavy metals you have accumulated over your lifetime out of your tissues? First, it is important to understand that the body must be able to properly eliminate the heavy metals as they are being flushed out of your cells. It is also important to know that to remove toxins, it is best to have a clean healthy colon. I suggest that everyone facing a heavy metal challenge take digestive enzymes and probiotics to keep healthy flora active and abundant.
The most effective way to mobilize heavy metals from the body’s cells is to use a blend of the following minerals which we have created for you in our Heavy Metal Mobilizer supplement:
A pinch of sea salt
These elements are all effective at stimulating our cells to release sequestered heavy metals.
Our recommended dose is 30 drops (2 dropper squeezes) in 4-8 ounces of water, but feel free to adjust the dosing
dependent upon how you feel. After 15-30 minutes, move onto the next phase, which will now chelate (bind up) the mobilized heavy metals.
15-30 minutes after taking the Heavy Metal Mobilizer, take 2 capsules of EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), a proven chelator. This phase of the cleansing process will bind up mobilized heavy metals and essential minerals in the blood, then carry them to the liver and kidneys for excretion.
The mineral binding capacity of EDTA is quite effective and can remove a substantial level of essential minerals, as well as heavy metal elements from the bloodstream. Consequently, it is important to replenish the essential minerals with Eidon’s Multiple Mineral liquid supplement. We recommend taking it approximately 2 hours after the EDTA. By then, the heavy metal binding has taken place and the kidneys and liver are hard at work removing the released metals as well as other essential minerals. Milk thistle tincture — Recommended dose is 30 drops or 1 ml, which provides you with herbal liver support, so that you do not overstress this essential detoxification organ as it does its magic to neutralize the heavy metals mobilized by the minerals and captured by the EDTA.
Dandelion tincture — Recommended dose is also 30 drops or 1 ml. Research studies suggest that it acts as a liver and kidney tonic by assisting these organs with natural secretion and excretion processes.
These supplements should always be taken either before or after commencing this protocol. They can be taken all at once but either 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after the EDTA. It doesn’t matter when, just that it is accomplished.
This protocol should be done away from food; at least 2 hours after you have eaten a meal or time it to finish 1 hour before a meal. Get in tune with how you feel and don’t push it. Use your intuition and sensitivity in determining whether you do more or less than 1 cleansing per day. This protocol can sometimes make you feel worse before you feel better. When this happens, just slow the process down. Sometimes I can handle it, and sometimes I can’t, so I will cut the dosing in half or give my body a break by skipping a day. Doing it at midday is best in my opinion.
Heavy metal cleansing can be quite difficult to accomplish. It can take a long time, and if not done slowly it can be uncomfortable. The important thing to remember is that it can be done, and the end result can be an incredible feeling of health that you may or may not have ever experienced.
