Is High Cholesterol the Root Cause of Heart Disease?

Heart related malfunctioning, defined as disease by our medical establishment, is one of the leading causes of debilitation and death in this country. The most accused villain of heart problems is fat, especially cholesterol. While clogged arteries does occur frequently with heart issues, I believe it is not the root cause, but rather the end result, of other imbalances in our diet that have led up to the accumulation of fat and debris which accumulate in our cardio-pulmonary system eventually restricting or stopping normal blood flow.

In working backward from the clogged artery, only a small portion of the blockage is cholesterol. 95% is other material. It turns out that the cholesterol is there trying to repair the damage caused by other compounds such as free radicals, heavy metals, refined sugar, trans fats, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides, to name just a few things that can damage tissue and would stimulate production of cholesterol for repair purposes.

The Need of Adequate Mineral Balance for a Healthy Cardiovascular System

The first step in maintaining good cardiovascular health is a change in diet. Eliminate the following from your diet:

·        Refined sugar

·        Refined salt

·        Trans fats

·        Processed foods

·        Inorganic food

·        Cage raised animal protein

Now for the other missing elements-literally. In addition to changing your dietary habits and lifestyle, one must strive and be cognizant of their tissue mineral balance. You see, the very fact that one is following any of the dietary practices listed above also implies mineral imbalances or shortages that can negatively impact heart health.

It is the minerals that catalyze the enzymes in every cell, allowing the cell to adequately perform the functions it evolved to do to maintain life and health of the organism. The following elements are essential for proper functioning of the heart and circulatory system of the human body:

·        Magnesium

·        Potassium

·        Sodium

·        Chloride

·        Calcium

How many of these elements do you consume daily in your current diet? The discouraging thing is even when you change your diet to mainly plant based and organic, you still don’t have any idea how much, if any minerals are in what you are eating. The reason is that organic does not necessarily mean the mineral content of the soil has been replenished. Additionally, different plants pull different elements from the soil and we therefore must strive to eat as wide a selection of fruits and vegetables as possible.

People consuming table salt are getting plenty of sodium and chloride but no other elements, especially magnesium and potassium. The recommendations for calcium intake are also throwing off the cellular balance of this element to the point where it becomes detrimental.

Add to this the stressful life many of us have, both physical and emotional, and we frequently end up deficient or imbalanced in the mineral elements necessary for proper heart function and health.

Without them, the heart and circulatory system functions suboptimally, or worst case, not at all.

Fortunately, there is an easy solution- Eidon’s Electrolytes blend.

Supplementing with it daily will provide you with the necessary elements for proper cellular functioning of your cardiovascular system.

Then all you need to do is pay attention to your lifestyle including what you eat.

Keeping your heart healthy is not difficult. It just requires you to think about what you are and are not giving your cells for nourishment and optimal functioning.

Electrolytes

Electrolytes truly are the “Spark of Life” as described in the book, "Electrolytes, the Spark of Life," by Gillian Martlew. While many of the known elements can be classified as Electrolytes, there are five elements recognized around the world as essential for maintaining a properly functioning electrical circuit within our body.
