Rick Wagner's Healthy Green Smoothie

diet recommendationsIn a Vita-Mix or other efficient food blender combine the following organic foods after washing them thoroughly:

    2 cups of water

    ½ lemon without skins

    ½ orange without skins

    ½ apple with skin and core

    1 inch of cucumber with skin

    Then fill up the rest of the container with greens (not packed tightly). I use any of the following, but let your creativity and own tastes be your guide:

  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Swiss Chard
  • Collard Greens
  • Kale (there are numerous variations), and
  • Dandelion Greens

I sometimes put in celery and carrots as well. I then top off this blend with ½ handful of frozen mango to bring down the temperature. This is a perfect blend to then add whatever other liquid minerals I am taking at the time. It is both delicious and nutritious. Drink and share with family and friends.
