Mental Attitude: Fat and Happiness.
Humans have an intimate relationship between their emotional state and what they eat. In this study, researchers found the levels of sadness among the subjects who received fatty acids were 50% lower than those who had not. Eating fat appears to be a mood-lifter.

Being overweight or ‘fat’ indicates an overall health issue that encompasses a myriad of health problems, of which emotions are only one part. Many studies have concluded that overweight/fat people are subject to depression, hopelessness or despair that is reversed when the subjects lose excess weight. There is a feeling of renewed personal power when one starts on a health improvement plan and sees the positive results. Body image affects the way a person relates to the world. The Mind/ Body connection is a powerful one.
When I saw this headline about fat and happiness it gave me the opportunity to reinforce an issue that we, at Eidon, have long promoted. Fat does not make you fat, sugar makes you fat. Not only, according to the above information does fat not make one fat, but healthy fats in the diet also makes one happier than those deceived by the misinformation about low fat diets being good for you. Good fats are necesary for the health of the human body. Good fats do not end up on the outside creating rolls of excess blubber. Good fats provide the energy for proper body (think well functioning hormones) and brain function, thus keeping you active and alert and trimmer.
The caveat here is to not overindulge in good fats. Too much of anything can be counter productive. The issue of balance comes into play here as it does with all things on this earth. If you eat a diet of excess fat without your proteins and complex carbohydrates, your body would not have the correct balance of nutrients to run efficiently. So, enjoy that organic cream and butter and avocados, nuts, coconut oil, coconut butter and olive oil along with your well balanced intake of healthy complex unrefined carbohydrates and proteins and see your life get happier!
